cracking or distortion occurs in a building this may be due to movement
of the foundations. When the cause of this movement is due to an external
influence it is usually possible to make a claim under the terms of the
subsidence clause of your household insurance policy.
We are able to visit the property to carry out a visual inspection and to provide a structural report which identifies the causes of the movement and makes recommendations for the necessary remedial works. Sometimes monitoring of the movement is required.
We would advise when it is possible to make an Insurance Claim and would act on your behalf to ensure full remedial specifications are agreed with the Insurers' Loss Adjuster. We can prepare the specification and obtain tenders and thereafter supervise the contractor until satisfactory completion of the remedial works.
All our fees and investigation costs are borne by the Insurance Company and your only expense is the excess stated in your Household Policy.
